Fellowships: Canada
Canada offers excellent clinical exposure and a supervised learning experience in sub-specialist settings. Most fellowships are offered at tertiary centers and are clinical, however support is available for academic activities like participating in research programs and teaching. General prerequisites are completion of a recognized radiology postgraduate qualification (FRCPC, FRCR, etc.) and English language proficiency.
Given the competitive nature of these programs, it is imperative to start thinking early as most applications close about two years prior to the start date. The Canadaian Association of Interventional Radiology provides an exhaustive resource for prospective juniors and fellows, this can be found here https://cairweb.ca/en/becoming-an-ir/fellows/.
