Radiology Foundation Jobs
The Foundation Programme (FY1/FY2) is often the first point where juniors have regular contact with the Radiology department. Although few in number, there are Radiology jobs available as FY1 or FY2 rotations in many deaneries across the country. Doing an F1/F2 placement in radiology is extremely valuable for training in any specialty as imaging and image-guided procedures are a core part of modern medical practice.
Foundation Jobs/Rotations
We have collated a list of all the jobs that we are aware of. The jobs vary in the time spent in diagnostic vs interventional, and some are paired with on-call commitments in other specialties e.g. acute medicine. One of our aims is to advocate for radiology departments across the country to take F1 and F2 doctors in order to raise the profile of the specialty.

Foundation Experiences in IR
We are collecting experiences from doctors who have previously completed an F1 or F2 job with interventional radiology. Read about their experiences here. If you are a doctor who has completed an IR job, please get in touch with us - we would LOVE to hear about your time there!
