IR Journals & Opportunities
Major IR Journals
Student & Trainee Opportunities
Many radiology journals, both interventional radiology and general radiology, have opportunities for medical students and trainees to get involved. Here, we have listed some of the main opportunities that we can find. If you know of any other opportunities, please get in touch us and we can update the website.
JVIR Social Media Internship
JVIR runs a social media internship that medical students and trainees can apply for. The scheme involves working with JVIR's social media section. This is run by Dr Osman Ahmed - JVIR Social Media Editor & Interventional Radiologist at the University of Chicago. Email Osman1423@gmail.com for more details.
JVIR Writing Club
JVIR has historically offered a writing club. Medical students and radiology trainees can sign up and receive a free interactive workshop on manuscript writing. Keep an eye out on JVIR's twitter feed for the latest information for this initiative.
Trainee Editorial Board Opportunities
A few of the American radiology journals have a trainee editorial board - trainees can apply to be a member and learn about editing & peer reviewing articles. Each of the schemes varies slightly on the role, but most are terms for at least 1 year. Two journals that offer this opportunity are Radiology (RSNA) and JACR.
