Lucy McGuire

Lucy is a specialised (academic) foundation doctor working in Glasgow. She has an intercalated degree in Clinical Medicine specialising in Clinical Neuroscience. During medical school she completed electives in both diagnostic and interventional radiology, as well as an IR SSC project. She has been involved with radiology societies from a local to national level and has held a role in the IR Juniors committee since 2020. During this time, she has led the Engagement Team and been involved with nationwide collaborative research and teaching projects, and was the 2023-24 Vice Chair. In the role of Chair she is looking forward to working with the IRJ committee and BSIRT to encourage more medical students and foundation doctors to get involved in IR.
